As some of you might know, in the Netherlands, I am studying to become an English secondary school teacher. However, here in Birmingham, I have to follow modules with students that want to become primary school teachers. The modules are mostly about infants and toddlers and how they play.
Today we had a day full of play workshops. We had to experience how children play and why. So basically we had to play with toys as we were 3-year-olds. We also had to sing the hokey-cokey and stuff. FUN.
Unfortunately, this is not really my area of interest. However, it's maybe handy for whenever I become a mother.

Hi Nina,
You write a lot abour leisure activities in Birminham and I am happy to hear that you have enough of them. I would, however, love to hear a bit more about your academic and teaching life in Birmingham! What are your classes like? Have you notices much improvement in your English skills. Have you met many locals? And could you give a bit more details about these workshops? How come they won't work in a secondary school setting?
I am looking forward to hearing more in-depth academic reports!
